What is Discovery Kids?

A place where children are given the opportunity to discover the gifts that each one has been given by God, the chance to use those gifts and talents in the body of Christ, here at New Life Church and in the world and community that surrounds them. We provide classrooms and teachers that provide and opportunity for all learning styles and levels of development with love and care for each individual child to assist in their spiritual journey to maturity in Christ.

Children’s Classes

10:30 Sunday Mornings

Nursery (0-3)

Room #2

Babies are ministered to through stories songs and play time.

PreSchool (3-4)

Room #1

We use the “Hands On” curriculum published by Group. We teach the major characters of the Old and New Testament through story time, activities, and teacher-led play

Early Elem. (K-3rd)

Room #4

We use the “What’s in the Bible?” curriculum by Phil Vischer (Creator of Veggie Tales®). In this class we cover the whole bible through a comprehensive and chronological format. It is bible 101 with a fun twist; the story of God told through puppets, animation, music, and more.

Late Elem. (4th-5th)

Room #6

We use the “Action Bible” curriculum published by David C. Cook. We take the students deeper into the heart of God’s Word to discover an active faith that they can claim on their own. Students will go on an adventure through the Bible as they explore who God is and who they are in Him.

Operation Christmas Child

OCC 2018-2.jpg

On November 18, Elementary kids will be filling shoeboxes during their regular Sunday class time on this day. It will be a great opportunity to take focus off of themselves and gives them an organic way to see what it is like to give to and help others. If you would like to donate to this great outreach we will be collecting items over the next few weeks, and if you would like to help the kids fill shoeboxes on this Sunday you are welcome to join us! A red and green container is in the kid’s hallway at New Life Church for collecting your donations.
